There is no set cost for a website
as it is determined by a variety of factors such as how many pages
you need, what special features your website requires, how you
intend to market it ect. The easiest way to find out is to fill
our online
quote form where we can gather the information we need
to provide you with an accurate cost. If you have a set budget
in mind we'll let you know what your best options for that amount.
Again this varies based on the
size and scope of the project. For basic websites we like to set
a general timeframe of 4-6 weeks but it may take more or less
time depending on your needs. We will typically set up a project
timeline so they are aware of the expected completion dates of
each phase of the job.
We charge a fixed rate for the
development of any website unless requested otherwise by our client.
Once a website is complete if they require any additional services
such as updates this will be charged at an hourly rate. All prices
will be agreed upon in advance by both us and our clients prior
to the project start date.
Our standard procedure is to
charge an initial down payment (usually 30%) to get the project
underway then the remainder once the project is complete. If a
client however prefers a longer term payment plan we will work
out arrangement to best accommodate their needs.
Am I able to update a
website myself once complete?
We do offer several content management
systems that allow clients to update many parts of their website
themselves. Updatable websites however in certain instances may
cost more than standard a website. Certain elements of any website
as it relates to the layout or graphics on the site will likely
require the assistance of an experienced web designer.
Do you offer web hosting
and/or domain name registration?
Yes we offer both services through
our company. We are also able to any setup, maintenance or renewals
on our end which the majority of our clients find easier when
dealing with their website.
Can you help me setup
company emails through my website?
Yes, if you purchase web hosting
through our company you will be able to setup your own accounts
through your website name (ex. myemail@calgarywebdesign.ca). Clients
can setup email accounts themselves or we can also do this for
free as part of our hosting service.
Can you get my website
on the first page of Google? How long does this take?
Yes we have helped many companies
get their website on the first page of Google (or even #1 rankings)
for their desired keywords or phrases. SEO services are typically
an additional monthly charge after the website is complete. How
long it will takes varies based on the competition involved from
other websites but it can range from at least 3 to 6 months.
Do you typically sign
a contract before starting a website?
For smaller websites that don't
require a lot of details we normally just issue a standard invoice
with an outline of the services requested. For larger websites
we can provide a more elaborate project agreement form (contract)
that is signed off in advance by both parties.
